Nevertheless, there are a few things to take note of when it comes to this unique type of elevator.
The LULA is not an Elevator

Some engineers like to describe the LULA as a cross between a standard elevator and a wheelchair lift because of its size. The only reason these are considered an elevator today is because of the lack of space some managers have to work with, and their creative use of their dimensions. Without the LULA, all of these small buildings are in big trouble when it comes to attracting new tenants.
The best thing about the LULA though, is that its original design is to serve people with disabilities. Don’t let able-bodied people feel bad about using the LULA though, as the lift doesn’t discriminate who uses it, and welcomes everyone that can fit.
